Drinking fresh pressed juice everyday is essentially the same as eating fruits and vegetables whole. With a glass or two each day, you get to nourish yourself with a plethora of vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants. And unlike normal juicing, fresh pressing your favorite produce allows you to retain much of its fiber.

But are there other perks that can only be enjoyed through freshly pressed juices? As you’ll see in a bit, there are tons. And in case you want to try out a few good recipes, you can start with the ones also listed below.

Fresh Pressed Juice Explained

But first, let’s talk about what freshly pressed juice is. That way, you can better understand why you need to add it to your diet. So in case this is your first time hearing about it, fresh pressed juice is simply a drink made by putting fruits and vegetables through a hydraulic press. In other words, you make it by using masticating juicers rather than your typical blenders.

Instead of traditional pasteurization, freshly pressed juices can undergo high pressure processing (HPP) to increase shelf life and eliminate bacteria. This keeps the juice from spoiling, as well as preserves the nutrients offered by the ingredients you use.

Benefits You Can Enjoy From Fresh Pressed Juice

So now that you know how freshly pressed juices are made, time to check out some of the other perks you can enjoy from drinking it.

Preserved Natural Ingredients

As mentioned above, drinking freshly pressed juice is basically the same as eating its ingredients whole. That’s because instead of normal pasteurization techniques, it employs high pressure processing (again, as mentioned above). This essentially helps preserve the ingredients’ natural nutrients, antioxidants, and sugar, while simultaneously eradicating any harmful microbes. Plus, fresh pressing tends to yield more juice than traditional methods, meaning you get more juice from the produce you put in.

More Soluble Fiber

Additionally, fresh pressed juices offer more soluble fiber compared to blended juices. And as you ought to know by now, more fiber means better digestive health and good bacteria growth. But it does more than that! With enough fiber on your diet, you can even lower your bad cholesterol levels, as well as improve your blood sugar levels. This reduces your chances of having diabetes, coronary heart disease, and other life-threatening issues. So make sure you add fiber-rich staples on your juice, particularly pears, bananas, carrots, and more.

No Artificial Preservatives

Unlike bottled or canned drinks, freshly pressed juice doesn’t contain any artificial preservatives. Instead, it relies on the ingredients’ natural sugars and flavors to keep the drink interesting and fun. This helps keep you full and refreshed without unnecessarily boosting your blood sugar levels or making you gain weight. This ultimately lets you retain the nutritional value of the juice, too, allowing you to access all the health benefits it offers.

Delicious Way to Stay Hydrated

For your body to function properly, you need to drink lots of fluids everyday. Aside from improving your blood and oxygen flow (thus making sure nutrients get to where it needs to), it will also aid your digestion by flushing out bad microbes and preventing constipation. Plus, keeping yourself well hydrated will help you enjoy better skin health. Thankfully, fresh pressed juices can provide you with large quantities of water. So aside from drinking the usual eight glasses of water, you need to make it a point to have at least a glass of freshly pressed juice daily.

Long Shelf Life

Thanks to high pressure processing, fresh pressed juices can last up to 30 to 45 days without spoiling. Just make sure to keep it refrigerated. Also, you need to use a masticating juicer that comes with HPP features. Otherwise, you’ll have to do that processing separately.
